Thanks to USAGEM Board Members and staff for putting on a great awards show this weekend at Texas Troubadour Theatre in Nashville~ We had a good time meeting other artists and listening to some of the great USAGEM members as they performed. We were nominated for Christian Country Crown Jewel Award and although we didn't win the award this year, I was reminded of the passage of this scripture in Matthew: Matthew 6:19-21 (King James Version)
19Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Ultimately, our treasures are being laid up "somewhere beyond the blue" and we thank God for the opportunity to lead worship services where He opens doors for us and to lead others to Jesus Christ through testimony, music and the preaching of His word. Higher Trails is looking forward to the 2010 Awards show in November in Nashville, TN and thankful for the Christian Country Artist of the Year nomination! We hope that all of our fellow CC Artists and Musicians can be in attendance and we look forward to seeing each of you and visiting on Saturday. Have a blessed week! Psalm 112:1 " Praise the Lord; Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands." Are we doing what God commands? He has commanded us to spread His word and do His will here with the time we have...As Christian musicians and artists, are you and I doing all we can, with what we have, until Jesus comes back? It could be today. This could be the last week we have to reach someone for Jesus Christ. Make it count. |
2010 USAGEM Nomination

We were notified this past week that Higher Trails has been nominated for Christian Country Artist of the Year for 2010 and for that we are truly thankful and blessed! We have put out a new cd earlier this year--it's a live recording of worship services at Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Tyler, TX and it turned out excellent! We encourage each of you to visit our website and take a listen and order one! We pray it will bless you in some way~ Looking forward to making the trip to Nashville in November of this year, Lord willing, and participating in the 2010 Awards Show. Our prayer is that God will bless each of you in your music ministries this year! |
