review of "New Country Psalms" CD by Paul Davis, England

To my ear - this is an artistic masterpiece of outstanding country balladeering sewn together with the dedicated love of a deep-thinking ace-wordsmith. An observer-of-life, Glenn Douglas Tubb is a powerful communicator whose songwriting talents backed up with quality Nashville studio production is a delight to the ear and the heart. His self-penned song-repertoire oozes professionalism. But this album is not solely a cold objective piece-of-art but a sensitive heart-warming document of grown-up subject matter, songs derived from "life-in-our-times" in sunshine-and-storm.  With gentle contemporary country-sessioners of the highest calibre, clearly this is a labour-of-love, highly appealing in content. His pleasant deep velvet-vocal is warming and engaging and deserves to be a down-home favourite in urban as well as country environs. On parade are mainly new creations, some of which could become treasured keepsake standards. His inspirational story-ballads are age-old mirrors of humankind's quest for meaning and reality, tenderly crafted, deserving of classic status.
