LIFE GETS LOUD by Ann Hartmann & Scooter Simmons

Alarm clock buzzin’ – sleepy kids fussin’ – microwave goin’ – car horn blowin' - grab a cup of coffee and run – I’m running late. City bus passin’ – road crew blastin’ – police car siren – truck backfirin’ - stuck in a traffic jam – I need to pray.
Life gets loud – Lord, it tries to drown you out. Please turn it down – to the sound of your still, small voice – all the rest is noise – life gets loud!
Telephones ringin’ – deadlines screamin’ – boss man shoutin’ - headache poundin’ – Another bag of chips for lunch – will it ever end? File drawers slammin’ – copier jammin’ - computer crashin’ – my sanity crackin’. Lord, whisper in my ear – while I count to ten.
Lord, the noise of this life – multiplies, magnifies – ‘til the volume’s out of control. Tune me into you – so I can hear the truth – and know what really matters most.
